Privacy Notice
This notice explains what happens to personal data in connection with this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived: if something is not described here, it does not happen.
1. Who we are
The controller of any personal data described here is TEWRIS DIGITAL ENGINEERING - FZCO, a free zone company registered in the United Arab Emirates under trade licence number 86380, issued by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, with its registered office at IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
For any question about this notice, or to exercise any of the rights described in section 7, write to privacy@tewris.io.
2. What this website collects
This website collects nothing about you. Specifically:
- no cookies of any kind are set;
- no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising or social network scripts;
- no accounts, no logins, no profiling;
- fonts and images are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not announce your visit to a third party.
The contact form on the home page does not transmit anything to us. When you press “Send”, it composes a message in your own email application and stops there. Nothing reaches us unless you then choose to send that message yourself.
Our hosting provider records ordinary server access logs, including IP addresses, for the security and reliability of the site. These logs are not combined with any other information and are not used to identify visitors.
3. If you contact us
When you email us, we receive whatever you put in that email — typically your name, your email address, your organisation, and what you tell us about your intended use. We use it to answer you and, if a conversation follows, to carry it on.
We do not use it for marketing lists, and we do not sell or share it.
4. Why we are allowed to do this
Where the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, we rely on the necessity of processing to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to a visitor, the corresponding bases are Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f). Server security logs rely on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f).
5. Who else sees it
Our email provider and our hosting provider process data on our behalf as processors, under contract, and only to provide those services. Beyond that, no one: we do not share enquiries with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies, because we do not work with any.
We disclose personal data to a public authority only where a valid legal obligation requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation is live and for twenty-four months afterwards, so that we can pick up a thread you started. After that it is deleted. Server access logs are kept for thirty days.
You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner, and we will.
7. Your rights
Whatever your location, we will honour a request to:
- know what we hold about you, and receive a copy of it;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable form;
- withdraw consent, where we relied on consent.
Write to privacy@tewris.io. We answer within thirty days. If you are in the UAE and are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the UAE Data Office; if you are in the EU or UK, to your national supervisory authority.
8. International transfers
We are established in the United Arab Emirates and our service providers operate internationally, so an email you send us may be stored outside your own country. Where such a transfer is subject to the GDPR, it is made under the safeguards permitted by Chapter V of that Regulation, including standard contractual clauses where an adequacy decision does not apply.
9. Changes
If this notice changes, the new version appears at this address with a new effective date. We do not apply changes retroactively to correspondence already concluded.
